- For people to be able to fully understand the problems you are
- experiencing, you need to provide more data. For example, what
- do you mean when you say the modem stops and starts? What
- are you doing on your system while noticing this? Etc, etc.

- This could be something as simple as you atempting to access
- a very busy FTP or WWW site, which is splitting its attention between
- many clients.
